Kisumu got properly mucked up over the weekend.
Captain Morgan’s Muckpit Melon tour rolled into Attela Beach Resort on Saturday night and turned the lakeside venue into a full-throttle party zone that had revelers dancing until the early hours. The third stop on the brand’s nationwide rampage delivered exactly what it promised: bold cocktails, infectious energy, and the kind of night people will still be talking about weeks later.

The star of the evening was musical sensation Iyanii, who set the crowd alight with crowd favorites including ‘Donjo Maber’ and ‘Rumours’. But he wasn’t alone in keeping the energy levels dangerously high. Dj Deewiz, Dj Brik, and Dj Soul brought the beats while MCs Nuella and Kish worked the crowd into a frenzy, creating the kind of atmosphere where strangers became friends and inhibitions disappeared into the night.
At the heart of it all was Captain Morgan’s new Muckpit Melon Splash, the rum blend that’s been causing a stir across Kenya. Bartenders worked overtime crafting signature cocktails that showcased the tropical flavor, while adventurous guests tested their skills at the Muckarena bowling alley, a quirky addition that proved surprisingly popular as the night wore on.
“Kisumu truly embraced the spirit of the Muckarena Party,” said Kanyi Kiuru, Captain Morgan Muckpit brand manager, probably still recovering from the weekend’s festivities. “The energy at Attela Beach Resort was phenomenal, and it was incredible to see everyone muck up the night.”
The Kisumu stop reinforces Captain Morgan’s strategy of taking the party directly to Kenya’s major cities rather than waiting for fans to come to them. It’s grassroots marketing with premium production values, and judging by Saturday’s turnout, it’s working.
Next up: Mombasa. The coastal city should probably start preparing now.
