The festival’s nationwide run made its way to Nanyuki and Eldoret on Friday, October 16, with both towns getting their own celebration of Kenyan beer, music and culture.
In Nanyuki, the action took over the iconic Zero Percent Lounge, and the crowd came ready. Otile Brown headlined alongside singer Jay Soul, and the two kept the energy up from start to finish. DJs Unclemesh and DJ Evian handled the soundtrack between sets, while MC Ted brought his trademark energy to the night.
Over in Eldoret, revellers gathered at Tamasha Sports Bar and Grill, where Tanzanian star Aslay headlined and brought a fresh sound to the celebrations. DJ Gibbz the Daqchild kept the floor moving, and MC Mido kept the crowd engaged.

Both events offered more than the lineup. Attendees enjoyed a taste of Kenyan culture, with local cuisine from vendors and discounted beers adding to the experience. The two editions reflect Tusker Oktobafest’s push to connect with consumers through locally relevant experiences. As the festival moves from region to region, it gives people a chance to discover local talent and enjoy nights shaped by the character of their own communities.
“The incredible performances and strong turnout in Eldoret and Nanyuki reflected the vibrant energy for celebrating with beer. These experiences demonstrate the value of bringing Oktobafest closer to our consumers and creating celebrations that reflect what makes each region unique,” said Rediet Yigezu, Tusker, Marketing Manager.
The festival now heads to Mombasa and Nairobi, with stops at Al Capone, Nyali on 19th October, Laikipia Barracks on 21st October, and Covo Kahawa Sukari from 23rd to 25th October. Beer lovers can also look out for flash sales and exclusive discounts on Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) favourites, including lagers, stouts, ciders and malts, available at supermarkets and select e-commerce partners.
As for me, I made the trip to Nanyuki for Tusker Oktobafest, and I can safely say Otile Brown left me thinking about a certain someone. By the end of the night, I was dangerously close to sending that 2am “I miss you” text.
