No one knows how to party as Kenyans do. The mad energy, good vibes, and fashion sense that Kenyans bring to your sherehe is definitely out of this world. Most importantly, no one can throw a sherehe better than TUSKER; and after taking a hiatus in 2020, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Tusker Oktobafest is back. And it is bigger. It is better!

Preparations are in high gear for the much-anticipated Tusker OktobaFest which is back to its full festival settings for its centenary year edition.
The festival which boasts as Kenya’s premier beer festival is set to take place at the Ngong’ Racecourse from the 28th to the 30th of October, marking the crescendo of the Tusker brand’s 100-year anniversary celebration.
The festival is set to mirror the first edition which was held in 2019 and will feature more than 100 Kenyan acts on THREE different stages at the expansive venue. Imagine! Three different stages!

Following the 2019 event, the Tusker OktobaFest had taken a hiatus in 2020, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, the Tusker brand put together A Festival Dekonstructed that brought the OktobaFest experience to outlets near consumers. This was done in part as a leg-up to outlet owners as they sought to recover from the ravages of the pandemic.
In 2022, which is the year that the Tusker brand marks 100 years of existence, the Tusker-led festival is keen on making up for lost time and picking up from where it left off in 2019. The 2022 OktobaFest will feature each of the beers from the KBL beer portfolio, with each brand given an opportunity to express itself at the Ngong’ Racecourse grounds.
The OktobaFest weekend will also see the Tusker Nexters talent search come to an exciting conclusion. The Nexters platform has grown since its commencement in March of this year. It unearthed talents from across the country who battled it out in the regional auditions. It then proceeded to the semi-finals in July, which saw the number of acts whittled down from 19 to 7. On October 29th, these 7 talents will go toe to toe, after which a decision will be made on the top three winners that will walk away with the grand prize.
In keeping with its festival status, the Tusker OktobaFest 2022 will feature much more than beer and music. There will be a Nexters eSports area, where festival goers will be able to go head-to-head with the Nexters winners in eSports as well as celebrities and influencers, individual and group games, and much more. Tickets to the festival are available upon purchase of a 6-pack of any Kenya Breweries Limited beer brands from selected outlets. Tickets are also available on TicketSasa and HustleSasa. You can also check out the official pages of Tusker Kenya on social media for more details.
What are you waiting for? Bring your sherehe spirit, let’s meet at the Ngong Racecourse as we unwind and have fun. Please remember to stay hydrated, and to drink responsibly; don’t drink and drive. See you there!
