TECNO is preparing to roll out EllaClaw Beta in Kenya, introducing what the company describes as the first mobile AI agent powered by the OpenClaw framework and tailored for emerging markets.
The new platform is integrated into Ella, TECNO’s built-in digital assistant, and is designed to help smartphone users perform complex tasks through simple commands. Operating at system level, EllaClaw allows users to manage multi-step actions across applications without the technical barriers often associated with advanced digital tools.

TECNO says the beta launch marks a shift toward more practical artificial intelligence on mobile devices, with features intended to fit naturally into everyday smartphone use for communication, business, planning, and personal organisation.
At the centre of EllaClaw’s functionality is One Sentence Automation, which allows users to issue a single instruction that triggers full task execution. This means a simple request can initiate actions such as scheduling appointments, sorting files, or managing daily phone activities without navigating several menus.
The system also introduces cross-app data integration, enabling information to move across SMS, notes, calendars, and other applications. This helps users consolidate critical updates such as payment reminders, travel details, and message alerts in one connected workflow.
Among the first practical tools is smart SMS summary, a feature that automatically classifies incoming messages, highlights priority communication, and identifies non-essential texts that can be removed. Another feature, Daily Schedule, generates a single overview combining calendar items, notes, weather forecasts, and selected news updates.
Built under TECNO’s Practical AI framework, EllaClaw is designed to improve over time through a persistent memory system that learns user routines and preferences, allowing the assistant to provide more relevant support as usage continues.

The company says privacy remains a core part of the system, with protections aimed at ensuring personal data remains secure and inaccessible to unauthorised external access.
The rollout follows the recent Kenyan launch of the TECNO CAMON 50 Series, which TECNO positioned around imaging, performance, and productivity.
Additional information on beta access and availability in Kenya is expected to be released through TECNO’s official online platforms in the coming weeks.
