Samsung Electronics East Africa unveiled their biggest, smartest TV yet at the Glee Hotel in Nairobi yesterday.

The 2025 NEO QLED 100-inch AI TV isn’t just large – it’s Samsung’s most advanced flagship television, complete with Vision AI technology that actually learns how you watch.

“Kenya deserves nothing less than the very best in television technology,” said Rahul Kochhar, Business Head at Samsung Electronics East Africa. “With Vision AI, we’re rethinking how TV interacts with the home, how it learns, adapts, and becomes part of daily life.”

Technical Specifications

The 100-inch NEO QLED display employs Quantum Matrix Mini LED technology for enhanced backlight precision. This delivers superior contrast ratios, deeper black levels, and peak brightness performance suitable for various lighting conditions.

Samsung’s NQ AI processor analyzes content and room environments in real-time, automatically adjusting picture and sound settings. The system includes 4K UHD resolution with AI upscaling capabilities, transforming lower-resolution content to near-4K quality.

Audio features include Dolby Atmos support and Object Tracking Sound technology, creating immersive three-dimensional soundscapes. Anti-glare technology and ultra-viewing angle engineering maintain color accuracy across different viewing positions.

The television supports HDR10+ with Auto HDR Remastering for frame-by-frame optimization. Gaming capabilities include 4K 120Hz refresh rates, FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility, and cloud gaming platform access through Samsung’s Gaming Hub.

Market Positioning

Samsung designed this television for Kenya’s expanding premium market, targeting households and commercial venues seeking large-screen entertainment solutions. The company cites growing streaming service adoption, improved broadband infrastructure, and rising affluent consumer demographics as key market drivers.

The device includes Tizen OS with a seven-year upgrade program ensuring long-term software support. Smart Hub integration provides unified access to streaming applications, cloud gaming, live television, and smart home controls.

Samsung offers comprehensive local support including two-year manufacturer warranties through authorized dealers, professional installation services, and priority servicing in major cities.

The television retails for KES 699,000 through Samsung’s authorized dealer network and flagship stores.
